Our Mission

At "Residents 4 Arkansas" our mission is to help improve the rural and metropolitan communities of Arkansas by working with individuals in neighborhoods to solve their problems. Our primary goal is to give residents a loud voice by assessing the needs of individuals and families young and old alike, thus giving them the tools to work for REAL improvement!

Youth empowerment THROUGH sports and teaching!

Mak’it.com Moving Forward for a Better West Memphis

In the quest to bring stability to troubled neighborhoods and address the myriad of complex issues with which Northeast Arkansas residents are faced with, it is imperative that we all work together. At Residents 4 Arkansas, we’re proud to say that we have recently met with several local outreach agencies, and we’re going to attempt to help spread word of the many great things which these community based groups are doing on an active basis. These are the POSITIVE stories about our city that NEED to be placed out-front for ALL to read. These are the true stories of West Memphis which are not flashy and filled with violence, but instead serve to emphasis the point that there ARE people who care about what happens and that there ARE people working diligently behind the scenes to improve our fragmented city, one kind deed at a time. In this week’s community improvement spotlight, we’re proud to introduce the work of the Mak’it.com Family and further introduce the many great projects which they already have in place. We at “Residents 4 Arkansas” would like to also say that we look most forward to working with this growing organization, and that we particularly admire their dedication for the youth of West Memphis. I’m certain that you will all agree, the YOUTH are the key and the future of our state and nation as a whole.

Mak'it.com is a nonprofit community based organization out of Southeast West Memphis, that has brought numerous kickball tournaments, basketball tournaments and even volleyball into the inner part of the city itself. They have done this through utilizing various athletic centers across town, such as the LR Jackson Girls club. Their principal focus is to bring as much entertainment to the city and help out the youths who need it. The most amazing thing is that the proceeds they make off banquets, parties, donations and fundraisers ALL go to help out needy families within the community. This is truly a shining example of a local group attempting to do so much good.

Recently, we at “Residents 4 Arkansas” had the privilege to sit down one on one with Mr. Daniel Foster, who serves as the Director/Founder of the Mak’it.com Family. The full audio portion of this interview will be made available within the next couple of days. For more information on how to become involved with Mak’it.com and or sign your team up for the upcoming basketball tournament please contact them at; 501-240-5020 makithappen1111@gmail.com In closing, we would like to say that “Residents 4 Arkansas” looks most forward to working together with this local and great group of young professionals. We hope you will agree, working in UNISON is the key. GO WEST MEMPHIS GO!!!
