This last week has been very busy for our organization indeed. Currently, as it stands we have enough great material for about two more months worth of positive based community articles. Recently, we have added a few things to our website to include a local weather app, a NEW audio interview, a NEW poll and an event section. This past Sunday, we also had the privilege of seeing the Good Neighbor Love Center firsthand in their unique fundraising efforts. The Southland Gaming Park of; West Memphis Arkansas was a proud sponsor of the event, and their hospitality was second to none. It was neat to see a few of the races in person. With that being said, their Wii bowling tournament was a GREAT success. Now, when Mrs. Brenda Harris first told me of the event, I didn't make the immediate connection between a Wii bowling tournament and classic bowling as we all know. As most everyone’s aware, the Wii is a cool gaming system, and the Wii Bowling Tournament is of course played out via this gaming system. The bottom line is different teams compete for different prizes, and all the money raised of course goes to helping the Good Neighbor Love Center continue their operations. The Good Neighbor Love Center personally holds a special place in my heart because of their steadfast efforts to improve the lives of needy families in the NEA area through their various food giveaways. Like any non profit, they cannot do this without YOUR support and they have been doing all this for over 20 years. They’re a vital fixture in our community and NEED your support. Please, allow me to share with you the details of their next big Wii event. Oh, and BTW I'm going to be there in strong support so hopefully you can do the same. $100.00 for a team of 4 (Food is provided with this cost and drinks are also provided.)
$15.00 Admission if not playing, (However this includes two free drinks and prepared food.) PS Their Bloody Marys are AMAZING!
