Military Vet Outreach Consultant: STEPHEN PALMOORE!

"My name is Stephen Ray Palmoore, and I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. I was born in Baptist East Hospital on August 17th 1985. I grew up around the East Memphis area until the age of 17, and then my family and I relocated and moved to Byhalia, MS. At the age of 17, I attended a military school for young adults located in Hattiesburg, MS. This school was designed to provided young teenagers struggling with public school a second chance to earn their high school diplomas. After graduating this program, I enlisted into the US Army on the 17th of March 2004. After finishing basic training and Airborne school, I was later assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, located at FT. Bragg NC. I have deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on two separate occasions, as an Infantry soldier I was however seriously wounded during my first deployment, and as a result I was evacuated to Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital for the start of some very complex treatments. During this time, I underwent numerous painful surgeries and then began the long road to rehabilitation. During this time, I had the unique opportunity to meet with many veterans from ALL branches of the military, and that was indeed a very very humbling experience. After this long recovery, I then returned to full duty and deployed again, this time with my good friend; Kenneth Wade Aden to Iraq. I will be medically retiring at the end October and have plan of attending Southwest Tennessee Community College, working towards a technical certificate in the studies of Paramedic and EMT. I'm very proud to be a part of this non-profit organization and look forward to working along with the other members of this board and the people of Arkansas. It's my aim to be able to connect and help identify the proud vets out there who need our help, especially those who have been tragically forgotten about."

With Humble Regards
